Are you interested in learning about China’s culture and helping those who are less fortunate than you? If so, you may be interested in volunteering for OSM Charity Volunteer Teacher Program.

Each semester OSM Charitiy sponsors volunteer teachers to live and teach in the Sawipu School located in Nanhua County, Yunnan. Children from the area receive their education at the Sawipu School. Your help can provide a basis for these children to continue their education through high school and possibly university or technical school.

It is our goal to sponsor two teachers each semester. You can volunteer for either 8 months or 4 months. We believe a commitment of a minimum of 4 months is necessary to continue the children's education.

In return for your volunteering as a teacher you will receive the warm gratitude of local residents, the chance to see what rural life in China is actually like and most importantly, have a positive long term affect on the lives of the children you teach.
