OSM Beijing office recently collected clothing for needy areas in Hongyuan County, Sichuan province.  OSM Charities volunteer Leo, worked with Eastland Student-Aid Society members to undertake an charitable activity called “Warm Winter”.  The slogan of their activity was “The winter is around the corner, are you cold? Contribute clothes for needy areas.”  The project included a picture exhibition, written proposal, playbill, and a receipt love card.

The volunteers collected 2,868 pieces of clothes, 25 schoolbags, 45 pairs of shoes and some writing materials.  The donations filled 73 bags.

The first 20 bags consisted of thick clothes and schoolbags and were sent to Hongyuan County in Sichuan Province.  The second 20 bags consisted of lighter clothes, winter clothes and will be sent to Sapiwu Elementary School and Yulu Middle Schools.

The final 33 bags will be sent, in conjunction with Song Qingling Foundation and the China Children Center to other needy mountainous areas.
